Wisteria for something you want to crop back up after someone thinks they’re rid of the working, whether cursework or otherwise. Mimosa or Kudzu similarly.

I also associate Kudzu with tangling or wrapping someone up in something. Used either for positive things (wrapping them in love, happiness, calm) or negative (tangling them up in a problem, feelings of frustration, or their own deeds).
