You know what, not to stir up any shit or anything (really), but the tarot community on tumblr has grown a LOT over the years.

And I just want to warn you guys that not everyone is here for the “right” reasons. We’re certainly not all here for the SAME reasons. I’m not going to name any names, but there are people out there who just want to get attention.

They want to promote themselves and their “brand” and that’s fine, but that’s their priority, not genuine social interaction or a desire to help anyone. 

And there are people who just want to build up a fanbase, or they get off on being seen as an authority, and they feed off of that kind of thing.

That doesn’t mean you can’t take useful advice where you find it, but just be really careful about checking out what people claim, and be cautious about who you trust. Because people will feed you outright lies if it makes them sound like they know what they’re talking about and it gets you to reblog them, so just…;o; Be careful, okay?
