Manipulative love magic is really the only type of magic that I don’t dirty my hands with. Cursing someone? Fantastic! Forcing someone to fall in love with you? Not so fantastic, and borderline rape.
Can we stop calling something rape when it’s not? I get what you’re referencing, love without consent, but that is NOT rape and it’s offensive to use it so flippantly.
The OP did say borderline and no one is using it flippantly at all. Some people are in fact talking about spells to have sex without consent which is rape. I wish I wasn’t on mobile so I could pull up some of asksecularwitch s posts on this.

So, while I get that ‘forcing someone to fall in love with you’ does not equal that you will, in fact, have sex with them – in fact to equate love = sex is wrong. So bad news on the OP, for basically inferring that love = sex or that because people love each other that they are going to have sex. Because no.
HOW-MOTHERFUCKING-EVER:
IF you have sex with them after doing the love spell and HAVE not removed the love spell – THEN it becomes a coercive act in changing someone’s will – aka manipulating them into saying ‘yes’, which is non consensual sex – aka rape.
ANY means by which you coerce or otherwise FORCE that person to say yes to ANY sex act, is rape.
But there are plenty of ‘love’ spells which are actually sexual dominance spells, which in specific state in the spell itself that you are want them to LUST after you and have sex with you. WHICH IS RAPE.
Rape spells fucking exist, I’d like us all to get out of some frufru high minded place that rape spells and specifically sexual dominance spells do not exist. Let’s just stop fucking pretending that shit, today, right now. I ain’t going to sit here and cutesify this shit, when I literally have TWO FUCKING SPELL BOOK EXAMPLES THAT ARE LITERALLY FILLED WITH RAPE SPELLS. LITERALLY FULL OF THEM. IF you put a NON-consensual love spell on someone, AND THEN PROCEED TO HAVE SEX WITH THEM, you are raping them in my opinion because you have manipulated their feelings. Maybe they wouldn’t have wanted to have sex with you, but because of the love spell they now have feelings for you that they never had before, and maybe for them that’s how they express their love. It’s coercion.
It’s manipulation.
And maybe they CAN’T SAY FUCKING NO TO YOU BECAUSE THAT’S ALSO IN THE GODDAMN SPELL WHICH MANY EXAMPLES FUCKING HAVE SO THEY AUTOMATICALLY ARE FORCED TO SAY BY THE SPELL ITSELF TO SAY YES TO YOU AND GO WITH WHATEVER YOU WANT, REGARDLESS OF HOW THEY WOULD HAVE FELT OTHERWISE.
Is it fucking disgusting? Is it fucking atrocious?! YES. IT FUCKING IS.
I will FOREVER say that non consensual love spells are on my fucking SHIT LIST because they CAN TIP INTO RAPE SPELLS REALLY QUICKLY.

AND YES MAYBE THEY WOULD HAVE SAID YES TO YOU WITHOUT THE SPELL BEING IN EFFECT ANYWAY, STILL DOESN’T CHANGE THE FACT THE OPTION WASN’T AVAILABLE TO THEM.
