You don’t owe anyone an explanation. You know what is best in your situation, and what you need to do. If you have to curse your abuser to move on, do it. If you want to release the pain and banish it, do it. You owe no one a reason.

Do what you need to do, for no one can or has the right to master over you. Witches do what they must, and are feared and hated for their ability to heal themselves. Fuck anyone that makes you feel guilty over this.

You deserve justice, you have the right to help yourself.
