Veritaserum

This is a potion based on the truth serum “Veritaserum” in the harry potter series. 

Materials:

• Thyme
• White flower petals
• rainwater
• Pine needles
• bay leaves
• chamomile
• water

Directions: After you’ve gathered your materials, boil the water and pour it into your bowl/cup/cauldron. Now add a few drops of rainwater for cleansing, and then add the rest of your ingredients. As the concoction steeps, say

       ” Bar the lies and hear the truth,
       protect me from falsehoods uncouth.
        As this hour passes ‘round
       be these words forever bound.
       Bar the lies that seek an ear
       let the truth be all I hear.”

Now you should strain the brew and store it. To use it, pour a few drops on your palms and say ”Aperio veritas.”
