Missing Piece

I feel like a piece is missing
Like my heart is bruised
I feel like the sun of my day is slightly dimmed
But only I notice it
I just want you to talk to me
I just want to feel like you care
All I’m left with is waiting and quiet
You are one of my dearest friends
And I feel like I can’t reach you
I try to send my love to you
But it crashes like waves against the seawall
useless and unnoticed
I am sad
