Do not blindly trust spirits who your friends introduce you to

Try not to rely too heavily on others to communicate to spirits for you. If you’re having difficulty communicating with spirits one way, try others until you find one that works for you! You don’t have to hear a spirit speak to communicate with them.

If your friend/loved one exposes you to dangerous spirits over and over again, find some new friends who are better, safer, more responsible spirit workers.
