when you need a spell, would you rather write it or find it? 

I like to write my own because then I know I have all the materials/experience for it.
I still like to find spells though for fun, but when I’m in need I write my own!

i’d rather find it because i’m not confident in my witchy abilities just yet

^^ same. I’d probably be really bad at writing spells.

i find things and adjust as needed. Its only recently that I’ve thrown things together and created my own spells

I personally prefer to write my own (or personalise spells that I find) because I find that they work better than just following another witches spell.

This may not be the case for other witches but for me, writing my own spells or tweaking spells that I find forces me to look at each component of the spell, analyse it and then decide whether I keep/exchange/toss it. When it comes to writing spells on the fly – symbolism is your friend.

I’m the type that makes my own. I don’t usually write anything, actually.
I’m more likely to figure out what I’m doing then wander through my house finding what I feel is necessary for the spell.
Apparently, it’s called “Intuitive Magic”.
