Tips for live readings?

My friend wants me to read cards for her Halloween party in October. I’m SUPER thrilled to do it, but my entire career of reading cards has been written readings online.

Does anyone have any tips for doing live readings? I’ll probably practice at some point by offering free skype readings, but any tips or tricks would be much appreciated!

I typically keep it to 3 cards, and set a timer depending on how many people are there. I let people schedule out blocks if they want a larger reading or anticipate they’ll be asking follow up questions throughout. I usually bring a few decks, my own little set up, and a rock that I’ll set out to filter the client’s wayward energy. Bring water and snacks! Keeping a comfort item for yourself can be smart, too.

Oh a timer is a good idea! And I was planning on bringing a few decks (including y Halloween Oracle Deck because ~theming~) A card limit is a good idea too, since I’ll probably be making spreads up for the questions.

A comfort items is a good idea too! Something I wouldn’t have thought of, too.

Thanks Swamp!

Of course, friend! You’re going to have a blast! (Caveat: remember your boundaries as a person and reader. You are allowed to say no.)
