While I do stand behind the post I just shared there are a few things that I feel need to be cleared up on where, exactly, I stand on the issue of vessels and spirit companion shops. So, here goes…
My opinion is that when binding of spirits to vessels is done with consent of the spirits and with honesty in the shop’s practices it is fine and there’s no harm in it.
The problem and my mistrust stems from the shops that are out to deceive and only care for financial gain. Those are the ones whom I think to refer to when I read a post like the previously reblogged one.
The issue still stands that new spirit workers who are inexperienced are easy to deceive and may not know what things to look for when choosing a reputable shop to purchase a companion from. They may be more concerned with what they can afford versus what is ethical or trustworthy. It’s better to develop a discerning eye for things like these shops instead of to blindly trust someone just because they have a shop.
That’s where I stand and I hope this clears up any misconception that I’m against all spirit companion shops or anything of the sort.
