the things you create don’t have to be better than what everyone else makes in order to be worthwhile. art, writing, music, cooking—whatever it is you do, it’s possible for your stuff to be good at the same time that someone else’s stuff is good. it’s not a competition, the quality of someone else’s work doesn’t lower the quality of your own.
