Be wary of people who call themselves oracles and people who say they have messages from the gods to give to the community.

If the gods wanted a specific worshiper to know something, the gods have many ways to let the worshiper know. Self-proclaimed oracles who disregard mythology and history and make up their own and treat the gods as though they are storybook characters would probably not be it.

Prayer is enough to ‘speak’ with the gods. Divination works just fine to communicate with them or to get answers. Listen to your own instinct and use discernment. Self-proclaimed oracles cannot speak about your relationship to the gods, they can only speak about their relationship and experiences, and I wouldn’t trust an oracle that tried to applied their relationship and experiences to others in the community. That is a recipe for disaster. If the gods want you to know something, THEY will let you know.
