I have a spirit companion who is a fox kit (which I’m guessing Anon already knew. ;D).
He was a roadkill victim, but I knew his lil spirit still hung around and was lost and confused about what had happened. I brought his little body home and put it to rest while he adapted to life as an independent spirit. Note that I absolutely offered to help him move on, but he, being the nosy little fox he is, found this idea of existing as a spirit fascinating and declined. He still has that option at any time, but he’s evolving beyond just a ghost at this point into something much more… substantial.
He’s a good boy and I adore having him around. Thank you for asking, Anon.
