Taurus ~ Safety Net

The feeling of safety is incredibly important for the Taurus person. Although they frequently express as composed, a worrisome maniac roars inside, causing them to question every safety net from finance to relationships. It is important for the Taurus to have a place of comfort to come home to, and this must be an extension of her self expression, a sanctuary of repose surrounded by her adornments. The Taurean can have a deep fear of poverty, being without employment, and lacking a steady income. It is difficult for one with Taurus emphasised in their chart to comprehend the nomadic wander of Sagittarius or the carelessness of cash with Gemini. It is inherent to the individuals inner balance for the securities of life to be engraved and maintained. Nerves and rage emerge when bills become overdue or work becomes sporadic.

Taurus people are hard workers. And they take to their life of leisure in the same enthusiastic fashion. Taurus is a hammock pinned between two daisies, blowing in the breeze, and because the Taurus has a notable visual creative mind they can create a sanctuary in their mind, and they can build a kingdom within. But this inner palace can shatter into a million pieces when the duties of the daily life are not being taken care of. It makes the Taurus sleepless when money is tight. It causes a lethargy when employment is unsteady. Maybe the individual constantly fears she will suddenly become unemployed or be unable to live at her residence. Most Taureans are difficult to move, and they often remain at the same place for long periods of time. It provides a great sense of inner peace to know there is a paradise the Taurus can wash away the static of the city in. Surrounded by her creature comforts, lying in bliss, listening to her favorite music or indulging in her favorite novel under a pink marshmallow blanket is like a meditation.

Some of the Taureans deepest fears are having no where to go or having nobody to come home to. Although the Taurus is an independent person, the presence of people in their lives provides a tremendous sense of certainty. And the Taurus person requires a lot more reassurance than they express. They secretly desire that the people they chose to be friends or partners are as deeply committed as them. Friendships falling apart, bouts of sickness that interrupt income, becoming homeless, these are the sort of fears an insomniac Taurus contemplates day after day. And there can be a kind of anxiety that is provoked by these worries and attachment to material. The defenses in the Taurus person can be very high, and this is typically related to their deep concerns about security. This can evaporate when she does things like sit outside her cottage and watch the wings of a butterfly unfold. At heart, she is a creator, and she loves seeing artwork come to life. She just wants a cocoon she can crawl into, a bed of silky caramel pillows she can melt into, a verse of her favorite song.

The Racism & Appropriation of Africana Traditions Masterpost

afrocentric-divination:

You’ve heard of hoodoo and “voodoo,” but what can you do? Everything you’ve ever wanted to know or ask about cultural appropriation and the various magic traditions, cultures, and religions that have their roots in Africa. I’ve featured a number of different posts that cover a range of topics and perspectives from various sources and bloggers. Updates and additions will be made over time!

So, what is cultural appropriation, and why does it matter?

How can I avoid racism and cultural appropriation of Africana traditions?

What are hoodoo, rootwork, and voodoo?

Is hoodoo really open or closed? What’s the real story here?

How do I know if I can practice hoodoo or what I can/can’t borrow from it?

I have reasons why as a white person I still want to practice hoodoo. Heard those other arguments before, please tackle the REAL questions?

If I’m already a rootworker, how do I avoid appropriation in the craft?

Posted 4/14/2018, updates pending. If you have questions, please ask bloggers who are legitimate practitioners of African descent or Afro-Latine heritage if your question relates to an Afro-Latine tradition. If you have concerns or anything listed here is problematic in some way, feel free to contact Yejide the OP!

why limit yourself between choosing between a pretty feminine aesthetic or a dark one? if persephone can be the goddess of spring & queen of the underworld at the same time so can you

This is both against the gender roles that God put forth and in favor of the worship of pagan God’s. This is blatant satanic blasphemy

breathe in, breath out. and just keep breathing. we’re gonna get there.

The Significance of Rings

witchy-morue:

9rings:

Rings add weight to the area of life that the finger represents, or could reveal imbalances. A ring placed with intent can enhance areas of your life. This can be strengthened by rings with corresponding crystals. When a ring is worn unconsciously, it more likely refers to the negative trait or imbalance that corresponds with that finger.

Left hand:
Corresponds to your personal and private life. Connected to family and personal identity or internal issues. Your left hand reflects the energy you take in.

Right hand:
Relates to your public life. Connected to work and your relation to society. Your right hand reflects the energy you give out.

Middle Finger
Element:
Earth
Considered the finger of cultural identity. It reflects how you related to justice, law, order, and responsibility. Can also signify inner security or materialism.
Consciously placed ring: Reduce anxiety, improve stability, desire for self-development.
Unconsciously placed ring: domestic unhappiness, insecurities, judgmental, lack of security.
Crystals: garnet, onyx, agate, topaz, tiger’s eye, jade.

Index Finger
Element:
Water
Considered the finger of personal identity, how you relate to and see yourself. Associated with leadership, ambition, and self-confidence.
Consciously placed ring: Boost self-esteem, increase authority, improve confidence.
Unconsciously placed ring: Damaged self-esteem, feeling not good enough, feeling better than others, controlling personality.
Crystals: tourmaline, lapis lazuli, peridot, opal, emerald.

Ring Finger
Element:
Fire
Represents your extra-personal identity and self-expression. It represents creativity and love of beauty. If it’s a wedding ring or engagement ring, it represents success in finding a mate. But if bought by the wearer it can represent self-love.
Consciously placed ring: Strengthen creativity, express friendliness, improve aesthetic awareness.
Unconsciously placed ring: Creative frustration, concern with image, desire to be liked.
Crystals: garnet, ruby, pink tourmaline, diamond.

Little Finger
Element:
Air
Considered the finger of impersonal identity. It reflects communication and sexuality. Also represents confidence in relationships and strength.
Consciously placed ring: Improve communication, express sexuality/sexual identity, gain confidence in regards to relationships.
Unconsciously placed ring: Poor communication, lies, difficulty with sexuality/sexual identity
Crystals: blue topaz, sapphire, aquamarine.

Thumb
Element:
Ether
Your thumb symbolizes your spiritual identity. It relates to your will power, determination, and application of personal energy. It also reflects your ability to reason and apply logic. As the thumb is separate from the rest of the fingers, and a very useful finger, it also represents strength, independent thought, and freedom.
Consciously placed ring: Boost energy level, increase will power/motivation, provide comfort, increase reasoning, increase personal strength and independence.
Unconsciously placed ring: lack of energy, feeling powerless, lack of control, poor reasoning, feeling trapped, stubborn/stuck in own way, need for control, aggressive/forceful
Crystals: moonstone, diamond, amethyst.

Rings on all/many fingers

This can indicate a negative circumstance that you are being faced with. It shows a likely lack of feeling safe or secure in your world, and that your putting on a front. It can also signify avoidance to deal with issues affecting your life.

Thanks ! I was liiking for that!!!

“Ibat ad antiquas Hecates Perseidos aras quas nemus umbrosum secretaque silva tegebat”.

The Queen of the Night gathered so many names during the millenia. Untamable, wild eyed, spinner of webs, star walker, torch bearer, mountain roamer. Her nature is so intricate and elusive that trying to depict it with a single image never seems to do her justice.

This depiction of Hecate is going to be featured in A Compendium of Witches – a project supported by my amazing Patreon community.
The Kickstarter launch will be on the eve of Samhain (30th of October)
