That whole ‘every witch must be a vegetarian/vegan’ crap ass mentality is synonymous with erasure of our culture and demands that we conform to Eurocentric ideologies in order to be considered and recognized as witches, let alone powerful witches.
Fuck that sentiment and further more people who believe that should further educate themselves on different cultures of witchcraft because that certainly sounds like some bigoted shit to me.
Yea I was reading the post @afrosandathames wrote regarding this topic, and I knew before even scrolling down, some vegan was gonna pipe up about how immoral her practice appears to be. I actually find it sensible, and clearly the Reiki work is practical for her to complete, so she can fully enjoy her meals.
Vegans…specifically white vegans – yea I said it – need to understand something…the world you’re physically living in, doesn’t abide by whatever you read on Peta, or any animal cruelty site you visit 5x/day. Generally speaking in some religions/practices, the animals who graze the Earth also happen to be considered “fruits of the Earth”, safe enough to nourish the body after proper physical/spiritual cleansing. Honest vegans prioritize promoting this lifestyle to alleviate excessive/degrading factory farming, not to fuel some false sense of superiority. Step out of your recently adopted dogma for a bit to respect ancient practices.
