Okay so I don’t know if this breaks your “no romance questions” rule so let me know if it does. Have you experienced a loss of some kind recently? If so simply feeling like you need to “get over it” isn’t going to work, dear. Grief is a part of us after we lose someone or something meaningful and it’s important to experience it and move through it at our own pace. Some things can’t be so easily set aside.
Give yourself time to step back, feel the things that are clawing at you, and accept them for what they are. Acceptance, I believe, will go a long way towards helping you on your journey to strengthen your abilities. If you are fighting against yourself in this your energies are only being channeled into that endeavor and it will serve only to tire you out and discourage you.
Are you focusing a lot of your energy on the negatives around you, possibly negatives that deal with the aforementioned loss? As corny as it sounds: take stock of all your blessings and the gifts you’ve been given in your life.
