The thing they forgot to tell you is: humans are hungry.
Humans are insatiable, ravenous creatures. They will tell you of vampires, of werewolves, but not of humanity’s hungry. It is not bad. It is not good. It just is. Things are just that way. It is not greed. It is hunger. Humans will share their hungry intestines with each other, in faint hopes of satisfaction if they are lucky or the burning feeling of understanding.
There is a kind of hungry for each human, beyond the physical one. It is what sustain the species. Hunger. Some will hunger for power, some for love, some for safeness. They will create, will feed their empty bellies until being fulfilled and maybe live a happy live.
Some will hunger for knowledge. They cannot always create it, not like their other hungry cousins can. So, they must to find it. And even when warned of the pain, of the perilous in the journey, of the risks, there is no way to stop them. Not when they are hungry for it.
Next time you pass upon one, remember to ask yourself what this human hungries for. And maybe, if you are lucky, if you are in the right location in the right time, they will answer you. That is it, if themselves know the answer.

I’m bringing this challenge back because it did a lot of good for a lot of people.

honestly some of y’all want a significant other so badly and can’t understand why you can’t find one, but have no sense of boundaries or healthy expectations of what a relationship is like. in a committed long-term partnership you get left on read, you wait for texts back, and you can forget about each other when you’re busy. sometimes you fall asleep without saying goodnight and sometimes you’re too caught up to text each other before 6pm. that’s how it is. thinking that you can’t be deeply, beautifully in love and still wait more than “1.75 hours” for a text back is such an unhealthy and unreasonable expectation of what love is, and you shouldn’t be in a relationship if you can’t allow the other person to exist on their own apart from you. if you’re projecting your anxieties and insecurities onto a partner who doesn’t even exist yet, then you aren’t ready for one.
Many Pagans do not view all Gods as perfect or infallible. This is actually normal.
Not everyone has the same opinion or relationship with a God.
Not everyone views the Gods as their parent.
Some people have enough parents and are not interested in more.
Some people may have negative experiences with certain Gods and that’s okay, it shouldn’t affect *your* relationship with your God, and you shouldn’t try to force/fix someone else’s relationship with that deity.
Some see Gods like family, but with their own agenda. This is also valid.
Some people are married to their God. This is valid. Even Christianity has Godspousing. It is a thing. Don’t disrespect it because you don’t understand it.
Not everyone believes that all Gods are 100% tuned into what is your highest good. They are not equatable to the Christian Omniscient/Omnipotent God that knows what is best for all people.
Some people avoid certain Gods because they feel that God has their own agenda, which may be true.
Not all Gods may have your comfort and happiness as their priority. Some may act against this.
Not all Gods *like* humanity.
DO NOT PROJECT YOUR VIEW OF YOUR GOD ONTO OTHER PEOPLE.
DO NOT CONDEMN OTHERS THAT DO NOT SHARE THE SAME VIEW.
