I’ve been practicing grounding, centering, and shielding a lot. After grounding I sometimes feel tired. But today, I think I finally got the hang of it, where do I go from here? Should I protect my house first or build an altar? I’m really confused and lost about what to do next and need some help!! Thank you so so so so much!!!

I would look into protection spells and start there. Protecting yourself is the best place to start. An altar can always come later, or never if it’s not your thing. I have a question concerning gods and worship: can one appreciate the aesthetic or things a god represents in ideas and values (ie one purchases a statue of Bast bc they like it and the ideas and values that Bast holds) but not worship or work with the god? Is that disrespectful to them? Thank you!

I would say that it’s fine as long as you don’t go delving into closed religions. I, personally, don’t go around buying statues of gods I don’t work extensively with. I don’t even have one of Cernunnos, but that’s because I see Him differently than most portray Him. I haven’t had a chance to introduce myself to the God and Goddess. But I have been lighting a red and white candle near me sometimes to feel closer to them, is that ok?

Whatever you can manage with the intent of love and honor is most likely going to be acceptable. The important thing in any kind of worship or deity work is that you show respect and love for them, after that it’s really all defined by your religion and your preferences.
