im new to writing spells and I’d love your input on one. Its a jar spell for forgetting someone. “burn strength and courage incense while you prepare the jar. Add black sand to the jar to absorb any thoughts of the person Burn a sigil representing them into the jar saying “i will forget you” tie a knot in a blue ribbon say “i am bound to you” cut the knot off and drop it into the jar saying “i am free of you” add herbs and crystals to the jar as desired. Close the jar, burn a black candle on top
I would reword the tying of the knots as “This is my bond to you” and then “I am now free of you” Wording in your spell is very important. You don’t want to word something the wrong way and have it backfire on you. the “I am bound to you” scares me a bit for that reason.
