Since I was robbed last week I’ve been anxious and afraid of leaving home. I got too caught in negative thinking and was leaving my chores aside. Needless to say my home’s spirit was not happy. They were like “you need to wash the floor” “when was the last time this kitchen saw a broom?” “look, there are dishes on the sink since morning” and I was like “not now, please” (1/2)
Yesterday I was washing some clothes and left the room for 5 minutes. The washing machine drain pipe “mysteriously” fell, leaving my kitchen all wet and soapy. My mom and I have just started fostering kittens, and the first litter we got was about 4 weeks old. One of the kittens (the smallest one) just HAD to eat from every bowl we used or he wouldn’t be happy. If there weren’t enough bowls for him he would look up at us, stick his tongue slightly out and mew/moan at us. Now my mom and I mimic the expression to each other all the time.

I wanted to send you a little silly moment. I love my significant something-or-other, bug we have a problem where we can’t stop talking. We’ll debate the merit of video games two words per kiss. Once we were talking in bed, and through some strange circumstance it comes to pass that he looks me dead in the eyes and whispers sweet nothings in his best impression of Gilbert Gottfried. I laughed so hard I had to put on my clothes and just leave. I couldn’t look at him without snickering for days.

My roommate is an alcoholic who thinks he can control his drinking. And when I reminded him of the promise he made, to not have alcohol in the house, he said, “but what if my gf is over and we’re sharing a bottle of wine?” I figure it is only a matter of time before he is all-out drunk and nonfunctional for a week, as has happened in the past. Looks like when this lease is up, I will be moving for the fourth year in a row.
