I asked you because I’ve always seen other devotees say “oh, I offered X some chocolate at the beginning and they loved it, now I work with them regularly” and I didn’t understand how that could work. I introduced myself to the deity I’d like to work with, I told them I’d like to have them assisting me in my life and in my practice. I started making offerings in hope they’d like them, talking to the deity etc. I’m here to learn, not to “catch ’em all”.

I’ve seen you are a devotee and I was wondering if you could tell me how does that work. I’ve read about being called by deities but I don’t know how it’s like when is a deity that answers your call. I’ve been making offerings to a specific deity for a week now and I don’t know if they even listened to me. Should I ask or watch for signs? Is there a feeling I should be feeling? I’m new to this and I feel so lost…
