alderwolfe: Don’t make what you do a competition between friends. Don’t try to one up your friend because they astral traveled before you. Don’t rush to “catch up” with them if they pick up something quickly. Don’t force yourself into some weird intensive training just so you can be one step ahead of them. Don’t startContinue reading “Advice to Young Spirit Workers and Witches”

atticroses: spiritscraft: cannibalcoalition: rootandrock: soulbitesoptima: rootandrock: Telling people with mental, physical or biological “differences” that they aren’t permitted to do magic (to express the power of their soul) is an act of violence. As a physically disabled person (legally blind) with a congenital condition (albinism), this post piques my curiosity. Are there really people out thereContinue reading
Wondering how the word gypsy is a racial slur? Why are you referring to it as the G word when it literally means a free spirited traveller. What is so offensive about that?
onyxmade: queerwitchcraft: dianaandpansson: takingbackourculture: Let me tell you a story, ignorant one. Once upon a time, there were a group of people migrating from northern India and Pakistan after the invasion “of the Persian Muslims who have since settled in Trukey, all of Europe, and the Americas These people are called the Rromani.” (x) Once theContinue reading “Wondering how the word gypsy is a racial slur? skinlikesnowflakes: Don’t assume a witch doesn’t do curses. Don’t assume they believe in the three fold law. DONT ASSUME THEYRE WICCAN and don’t tell them how to do their craft.
popculturepagan: I want to make a quick post to let you guys know: My magic works. It works for me. The sigils I use, the meditations, the spells… they work for me. And I’m a pop culture pagan who uses absolutely no herbs or stones, and never pays attention to what the moon phase isContinue reading
Just read your “Don’t water down witchcraft” and while I agree with most of it, insisting that “sometimes spells NEED blood” is fucking dangerous. Especially to people fighting self harm issues. It could be promoting self abuse because YOU say there are no other alternatives. And other inexperienced/younger beginning witches are going to listen to you because you speak with authority. Check yourself, kid.
cxnnxr-slxan: windvexer-deactivated20160501: No. Sometimes spells or rituals require blood. Just like some medical tests require blood. You can’t check your cholesterol by giving your doctor a vial of beet juice. If someone is struggling with self harm then they shouldn’t seek out spells or rituals that require blood without substitution. Magic like this exists. I amContinue reading “Just read your “Don’t water down witchcraft” and while I agree with most of it, insisting that “sometimes spells NEED blood” is fucking dangerous. Don’t water down witchcraft.
swampseer: windvexer: I know a lot of us want to practice witchcraft with limited resources. Not everybody can go to the store to buy herbs or store supplies in their house. But sometimes looking for constant shortcuts just turns in to an ineffective, watered-down form of witchcraft. Plants DON’T just operate on whatever personal correspondencesContinue reading “Don’t water down witchcraft.”
nicksbooty: dont make fun of people who believe or practice in any spirituality dont make fun of people who believe in ghosts/demons/spirits/etc. dont make fun of people who believe in extraterrestrial beings their beliefs arent harming you in the least why the fuck would you mock someone for what they believe in what kind of fucking scumbagContinue reading
A Nifty Idea
lavenderwrath: Stop calling it black and white magic. Call it baneful/malevolent and beneficent/benevolent magic.
breelandwalker: cannibalcoalition: Not all witches do divination. And not all who do divination offer free services. This has been a PSA. *covers this post in glitter and confetti and neon lights and splashes it across all the pagan tags that ever were*
