Advice to Young Spirit Workers and Witches

alderwolfe: Don’t make what you do a competition between friends. Don’t try to one up your friend because they astral traveled before you. Don’t rush to “catch up” with them if they pick up something quickly. Don’t force yourself into some weird intensive training just so you can be one step ahead of them. Don’t startContinue reading “Advice to Young Spirit Workers and Witches”

atticroses: spiritscraft: cannibalcoalition: rootandrock: soulbitesoptima: rootandrock: Telling people with mental, physical or biological “differences” that they aren’t permitted to do magic (to express the power of their soul) is an act of violence.  As a physically disabled person (legally blind) with a congenital condition (albinism), this post piques my curiosity. Wondering how the word gypsy is a racial slur? Why are you referring to it as the G word when it literally means a free spirited traveller. What is so offensive about that?

If someone is struggling with self harm then they shouldn’t seek out spells or rituals that require blood without substitution. Magic like this exists. I amContinue reading “Just read your “Don’t water down witchcraft” and while I agree with most of it, insisting that “sometimes spells NEED blood” is fucking dangerous. Don’t water down witchcraft.

swampseer: windvexer: I know a lot of us want to practice witchcraft with limited resources. Not everybody can go to the store to buy herbs or store supplies in their house. But sometimes looking for constant shortcuts just turns in to an ineffective, watered-down form of witchcraft. Plants DON’T just operate on whatever personal correspondencesContinue reading “Don’t water down witchcraft.”
