stormbornwitch: Hi @the-legend-of-nessie Nope, your Grimoire doesn’t have to be super fancy. I mean, it can be if you want it to be but it doesn’t have to be. For example, a friend of mine keeps a plastic binder as their grimoire and its full of plastic sleeves with scraps of knowledge she’s collected overContinue reading “(Pt.1)So I saw that you seem to know a lot about Grimoires and I had some questions. First: does it have to be super fancy? All the ones I’ve seen have been leather and expensive-looking. Also, does my Grimoire have to do entirely with magic/spells?”

bean-chaointe: Shadow Work Masterpost Because I’m simultaneously neurotic and lazy, I made an organized list of posts relating to shadow work so I wouldn’t have to keep sifting through tags. Many of the resources come from the less-than-a-handful of people I could find who publicly practice shadow work and talk about it at any length,Continue reading
Hi Bree! My name is Dana and I am a brand new witch-in-training! I have an interest in all types of witchcraft at the moment, but I live in the middle of a city, in an apartment. I’m having a little trouble figuring out what kind of things I can do, since I don’t have a yard, and a tiny “balcony” (though I’d hardly call it that). Do you have any ideas for me? Or any blogs that specialise in this type of witchcraft? Thanks so much in advance! I love your blog! x
breelandwalker: Hello Dana! Welcome aboard! 🙂 Urban witchcraft is most definitely a thing, and while I don’t specialize in it, I know some of my followers do. (Followers, if any of you have tips for our new friend, please chime in!) As for apartment witchery, THAT I can talk about. I live in an apartmentContinue reading “Hi Bree! Protective Measures Against Common Hexes or Curses
dytiern: Against the Evil Eye: Hang dill weed over all windows and doorways in the home. Wear a blue eye bead for constant personal protection. Hang one from the rear-view mirror of your car, as well. CAN ANYONE HELP ME FIND A CHEAP/DECENTLY PRICED MORTAR AND PESTLE???? I’m dying trying to find one that isn’t $30+ :( Also! Ironically, Hobby Lobby has an insane selection of jars and bottles of all shapes and sizes! Pretty good prices too! :)
low-budget-witches: For a mortar and pestle, I’d check on amazon for some! Or Walmart, cause I think I’ve seen some wooden ones that are under 30 USD. And cheap jars!! – Altec WORLD MARKET has some pretty reasonable ones! Note that the Lava Stone one is kinda big and heavy, though. I have that one. The OliveContinue reading “CAN ANYONE HELP ME FIND A CHEAP/DECENTLY PRICED MORTAR AND PESTLE???? I’m dying trying to find one that isn’t $30+ 😦 Also! What do these Terms Mean?
fumbletongue: These are how I personally view these terms and use them on my blog, though you’ll find a lot of other witches use them the same ways I do. Spell: Spells differ from other methods of magic because they can be so versatile and can have so many different effects. Essentially using your powerContinue reading “What do these Terms Mean?”

For those close enough to Seattle’s University District: The Gargoyle Statuary is the cutest little shop, and they sell a ton of incense! The cheapest deal I saw there was for hand dipped incense, 20¢ per or $1.50 for ten! They also sell tarot cards and dead things! (I don’t do witchy stuff as of yet, but I feel like this is helpful info)
